KickStart Self-Defense is deeply thankful to our financial partners!
We know that Larimer County abounds in non-profits striving to create a better world in Northern Colorado. We know that the money most people have slated for giving is limited. We know it's important to trust that your investment will be wisely managed. For all these reasons, each dollar you give to KickStart Self-Defense is meaningful to us. We appreciate your trust, your willing heart to give, and your commitment to our mission. Please know that we will be good stewards with donations in any amount, and that your contribution will foster a safer community. Thank you so much for your support!
Madwire donates $1000 to KickStart!
Madwire became KickStart's first major corporate donor with their generous donation of $1000 in November of 2024. We are so grateful for Madwire's commitment to improving the safety of our Northern Colorado community. As a young NPO, we recognize the importance of partnering with innovative, engaged local companies to best achieve our mission. Thank you, Madwire, for empowering youth with free self-defense training!

KickStart awarded $1000 grant from Rotary Club of Fort Collins
On September 27th, KickStart Self-Defense gratefully received its first grant from the Rotary Club of Fort Collins. KickStart will use these funds to provide five free self-defense trainings to high school teams or clubs. With so many worthy NPO's in our community, KickStart was honored by their selection. Executive Director Kirstin Kaines was inspired by the Rotary Club's volunteer and fundraising efforts across a wide range of causes. She appreciated the warm welcome and supportive gathering of Rotarians, and enjoyed experiencing what being a Rotarian is all about. Many thanks to the Rotary Club for their generous support!
KickStart would like to express its gratitude to Dave Huebner of Back of Beyond Media for designing a logo that we love at a price that fits our budget. Kirstin has been lucky to work with Dave on multiple logo projects. He is responsive and accommodating with edits that fit our needs. We encourage you to look him up if you're in the market for a new logo. Thanks, Dave!

KickStart was thrilled to participate in Bohemian's Give Next Program throughout the 2024-2025 school year. This unique program puts middle and high school students in the drivers seat to learn about and grant money to local non-profits. Kirstin thoroughly enjoyed sharing an overview of KickStart's mission and programming with students at Lesher Middle School, High Plains School, Wellington High School, Webber Middle School and Polaris High School. Students impressed Kirstin with their thoughtful questions and commitment to grant their money wisely. We were honored to be selected for grants by Lesher ($1000 teacher grant) High Plains School ($1560) and Wellington High School ($1750). We are beyond excited to use these funds for to provide free self-defense trainings for youth. KickStart also deeply appreciates Bohemian Foundation and the Northern Colorado Community Foundation for its critical role in funding this unique program.

KickStart welcomes partnership with Timock Family Orthodontics!

As a young non-profit, KickStart welcomes partners willing to think outside the box with us. We recently entered a partnership with Timock Family Orthodontics where their sponsorship will directly support self-defense training for their youth patients. We greatly appreciate their heart to enhance their patients' safety while building awareness for KickStart and our mission. Many thanks to Dr. Adam & Krystl Timock! We look forward to empowering their patients with boundary setting and physical self-defense skills.
